great for sex and the city fans

This book is not as thick as the Sex in the City book, but I'm told the book from the movie doesn't actually exist and that the book they used was just a prop. Anyhow, this book has all the letters from the movie and lots more. You'll love to sit down and read these beautiful words from these incredible men. Wish it were the real thing, but this one does the job.

Though this type of book has been done before, I really like the way the author selected and compiled this particular collection of love letters. Some of the books I've read in the past are packed with letters that are not very compelling or moving, the author was just trying to fill the pages.

This one is a collection of the kind of letters you are looking for when you buy a book of this nature. The tender, sweet words from a man to his love--where you feel that passion and longing in your throat, in your gut. This is the good stuff.

It wasn't the letters from men to the women they loved that made me cry
It was the quality and look of the book made me cry. What is inside this book are amazing, heartfelt, letters of beauty. Why would this be made so cheaply???!!!

Could it be anymore cheap looking? Shiny cover, no jacket, weird "texture print" to make it look like fabric. just bad...

Hao Yu holds a BS from Fudan University, Shanghai, China, and an MS and Ph.D from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and area director of VIRTUS/ VALENS Centre of Excellence, at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Previously, he was senior research staff member at Berkeley Design Automation (BDA), Santa Clara, California, USA. Widely published, Dr. Yu is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of the ACM.

Yang Shang holds a BS, MS, and Ph.D from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. As a Ph.D candidate, he focused his research on CMOS RF/mm-wave/THz integrated circuit design and device modeling. Dr. Shang is currently a senior application and R&D engineer at Advantest Pte Ltd, Singapore.

Mouawad was the winner of the Governor General’s Literary Award in 2000, and earned the position of Artistic Director of the National Arts Centre French Theatre in 2007.

LINDA GABORIAU is a dramaturg and literary translator credited with translating over 100 titles, including a number of plays by such reknowned writers as Michel Tremblay, Jean Marc Dalpé, Daniel Danis, and Michel Marc Bouchard. Gaboriau was the founding director of the Banff International Literary Translation Centre.

Perfect

During the summer I watched a movie that was based on this play..Incendies (scorched in french) and I looked for the script everryyywhere. It wasn't being distributed at the time I was searching for it..but within a month Amazon had it for me. Not even the book publishing company had it. I am so pleased, and it's a beautiful story. A mother dies, and in her will she tells her children to search for their father and half-brother that they didn't know existed. They travel through her past searching for answers..and it has an amazing twist at the end. It's a play, so it's a quick read! It really is perfect.
